The week of Prayer for Christian Unity is celebrated around the world on January 18th to 25th, the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul. This universal week of prayer encourages Christians of all denominations to pray that all may be one as Christ desires. All Christian communities should seek to have a deeper understanding of ecumenism, as the importance of unity among Christians is the responsibility of all baptized. It is our common yearning for peace that will help draw us into closer communion with one another. Reconciliation among the churches will draw us on the path to peace, it gives integrity to the proclamation of peace.
