This is the day above all days that we rejoice in Jesus’ resurrection and our salvation from sin and death. We do not celebrate Easter as a historical event from the past but rather we celebrate the great news that the Risen Jesus continues to save people every single day. We celebrate His promise to be with us “always until the end of the age” (Mt. 28:20). We also celebrate His promise to come again in glory and bring us to be with Him in heaven. Easter is a celebration of the past, the present and the future all at once. We want to see also how Jesus’ resurrection, His promises, His power and His presence among us can convince us that we have a bright, hope-filled future ahead of us. The Resurrection was not just the restoration of Jesus to life, but “by rising from the dead He restored our life!” The Easter Exultet proclaims, “What good would life have been to us, had Christ not come as our Redeemer!” We are called to present Christ to the world in our faith, in our life, filled with the Spirit of Christ and the Christian love that we express in our concern for others. CHRIST IS RISEN! ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA!
